The Creekview
Mustangs (1-0) are at home for the first time in 2012, they will play the
Saginaw Rough Riders (1-0) at Standridge stadium this Friday.
Creekview,
who defeated Chisolm Trail last Friday 46-0, hope to continue their dominance
against an improved Saginaw team; the Rough Riders are coming off a big 28-7
win over The Colony in week one.
Creekview hopes to keep the ground
game going, they gained over 300 yards rushing against Chisolm Trail; senior
running back Johnny Jones led the field with 134 yards on only 13 carries –
Jones was the Mustang’s leading rusher in 2011 as well.
Rough Riders are returning 17
starters from last season, ten of eleven starters on defense alone. Experience
can be overrated, however, as Saginaw gave up over 30 points a game (average)
in 2011, leading to a 1-9 finish.
The two undefeated teams will face
each other this Friday; game time is scheduled for 7:30 pm.
